A hat brand born in Marseille
The foundations
Since my earliest childhood, I have been fortunate to share a great bond with my mother and grandmother. They are my confidantes. I am theirs. We represent three generations. We do not look at life the same way. But we look in the same direction.
After several years of thinking about and designing my hat brand, I spoke up one lunchtime around the family table:
«I want to pursue a career that combines French craftsmanship, fashion, and entrepreneurship. I would like to develop and make a living from a passion passed down to me by my mother and grandmother from a very young age. I want to honor the trust and encouragement that I have always seen in your eyes and heard in your words. What do you think?»
Driven by their tenderness, their smiles, and my desire to free my future brand from standard manufacturing models, it was an avalanche of motivation that shaped my year 2020.

The first hats
and a new workshop in Marseille
Adventure led me across Italy in search of these authentic artisans who craft felt hats by hand. Their expertise in felt-making is passed down from generation to generation.
I spend entire nights making scrunchies using an old sewing machine.
I invest in untreated cottons, silk, and I buy high-end fabrics.
I am inserting my first gemstones and my first pieces of jewelry onto the side of my first prototypes…
In early 2021, I am proud to present the very first Vanessa k. collection.
Composed of about twenty felt hats, my first collection aims to be sober, authentic, and true to my ambitions: finding the right balance between the softness of felt and the sauciness of the stones and jewelry I use to personalize my hats.
I hope, once you hold a Vanessa K product in your hands, that you will be able to feel my story and what drives me every day in my Marseille workshop.
